An alt doesn't produce it's max output at all times, it only produces what is asked for

That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals.

Smaller engines can and will be bogged down under load from a HO alt...

01 Volvo S40 with a Singer 220, 1.9l turbo 4 cylinder would drop 3-500 rpm while cruising during heavy notes.

Good friend of mine has a 96 Accord 2.2 4 cylinder with a DC270xp, under heavy load it has been known to stall.

You may not even need a 250 amp alt
