here is the deal. Next month and all other months, the staff here will take the top 5 (or 10) voted in by the members and WE will vote in the mod section for the final winner. Problem solved.

This thing is sorta my fault. I WANT new people to come here. I want people to stay. I want you guys to promote SOTM on your social networks (like i do). What i don't want is people (as stated above) coming here posting 20 "one liners" (to artificially raise post count), voting for you, and then leaving.

what ends up happening is, you guys start getting devious and when we catch on it is suddenly our fault and i am the bad guy. A bad guy giving away thousands of dollars in prizes during the year. (SMH)

I am not sure what we are doing about last month's winner. It is in discussion right now. Thanks a lot to those who spoiled another great month. Shouts out to your ass-flaming buddies on FB talking shit. I appreciate it.

I don't know the full story. I know you ran irragi alts, and i believe you pushed them as the best thing. I don't recall if your videos stated that you had problems with them or not. but thats kinda shitty to promote a product you know that fails and give people the false sense that it is good.

i know this goes on a lot with a lot of products and people in the world, not only in the audio business, but you have a good rep. at least with most poeple. but at the same time, can people have 100% confidence to trust your word on any other audio or alternator companies you run and promote. I know you have good brands now but still it leaves a question mark in my head.

That brand was a good brand. While they worked, they worked well. I didn't have a lot of problems at first. But things started to change i started having failures. Chickens caddies started to have failures. When i have problems with a product i believe in, i don't go to forums and run my shit trap like some people do. I stay loyal and hope to get to the bottom of the issues. But when i get abandon on the side of the road like Joe Dirt and no return phone calls for MONTHS and MONTHS, i have no choice but to jump ship. Anything can break, even the best. Even the stuff i have now can shred itself down to a pair of copper wires and a terminal just by having a bad day. It's what the manufacturer does about it that becomes the deal breaker.

One thing i am not. I am not someone who promotes crap products (knowing it is crap). Another thing i am not.....one of those people who has a problem and comes to every forum and bitches about it. I HATE people who do that. And i still am not bitching. I had a good run with that brand. The owner of that company is one of the most intelligent people i have ever known. But one thing that chaps my hide is someone who i kept my mouth shut about going on FB and saying "SMD Sucks" when really the entire problem happened due to HIS product and CS sucking. And still, i never said shit until i saw that. Where did that shit come from? What compelled him to say that for no reason at all?

and all that being said, sorry, but it is a fact....my MECHMAN alternators have never failed. If one does and Mechman doesn't pick up the phone for months on end, i will jump that ship too.

if that person gets the most votes every month his system will surely be good enough to get our attention. We are not like normal members. We won't vote just because it is our buddy. We will pick the best system in our collective opinion.

Now does this mean stop posting about it on social networks? hell no. Post up! Your votes will get you noticed by us. Your votes will get you noticed by others. You still need a way to get yourself on the radar and that is fine by me. It's just at the end, like i said, we will prevent fakes and hopefully non-worthy system's of taking the prize. When i say non-worthy, i mean someone who clearly has no business winning and slipped though the cracks to take the prize (for instance a system that is not finished or playing or looks like shit). We don't sit here and monitor SOTM 24/7 so sometimes that happens. When i have to take the prize away from someone who had no business even in the contest, it sucks. Not only do i gotta hear about it from members, but that person spends the next year crying about it when he know's damn well he should not have won.

So to keep it as fair as possible, we will take the final top contestants and choose the best. Not choosing the best from the entire pool, that is the member's job...but taking THOSE top chosen contestants and deciding who should get it. That seems to be the best idea.

I been here for 3 years and never got into the sotm thing..think I voted 3 times then never bothered. The last 2 times were exciting in a way.been kinda fun to look around. If other people in the contest would put more effor in it, it would be even more exciting..

I've left simular comments complimenting people's systems or asking short questions after this contest was over, what am I suppose to do, write an essay just to ask a question or tell somebody that their system is nice, I've asked serious short questions that I thought would be takin serious, I don't even know the guy that I voted for, just seen some of his videos on youtube, just like Steves, I not trying to cause any waves, I just want to be a contributing member on this site is all, I'm still learning to navigate this site & still learning where comments & questions belong. 1 question though & I'm not trying to be a smartass, is it frowned upon to leave a compliment on a thread, I guess I could just go directly to their profile & leave 1, that's just a lot of waiting for pages to load on a smartphone, but I just want to follow protocol, thanks for any clarifications.

& I never told anyone to go vote anyone, not on here or facebook or youtube, I don't kniw where that came from but it just didn't happen, now I received messages asking me to post 20 comments, but I've never asked anybody to do anything, & my question about people just waiting to vote next month must have been misinterpreted, I wasn't trying to be a smartass, I was asking a serious question.
