TezasBassBox
Just got two brand new for free. While checking ohms pre capacitor with a multi meter i get zero ohms, but while connected to the positive terminal i get 4 ohms. I'm wondering if it takes a lot of power for these to work or can i just bypass the capacitor and work with the hpf setting on the head unit? the capacitor on these is rating is 3.3 uf and 100v frequency 2.0k- 20k hz, 101db, 150w rms 300w max The deck is an alpine 9883. SIDE SHOW
disconnect the tweeters and check them with your multimeter, each one should be 4 ohm
TezasBassBox
Yup they are 4 ohms. They play loud as heck and I have to turn the treble down. I wonder if i can find someone who wasn't to trade for some 6-1/2 mids. Lol these things are crazy loud. One alone is to much and that's just off the head unit. Dude i have to aim them away from me to even be able to listen to music lol! Subs don't hit when powered by cheap amps!
