Stackedx Posted April 9, 2015 Report Posted April 9, 2015 Hi i need help with a box design for my sq hdc3 12 sub. My max space is 37w 27h and 20d. I would like a design with the sub on top and port on bottom. Ive never used sq subs before ao i have no clue what it needs to be tuned at. I plan to run it on a sq 2200.1. Any help is appreciated thx.
Stackedx Posted April 10, 2015 Author Report Posted April 10, 2015 Its a 2010 ford escape. Coils will be d2 not sure if you need that or not.
Joe X Posted April 10, 2015 Report Posted April 10, 2015 So here is a suggestion, power: to sub rated, amp subsonic filter to 28Hz, minimum port clearance 3 1/4", figure is just an assembly guide, bracing is 1 1/4" wooden dowel rods:
Stackedx Posted April 10, 2015 Author Report Posted April 10, 2015 This is good for daily music? This might be off topic a little but ive never used these subs. Do they get pretty loud? And how are they on the lows?
Borris The Blade Posted April 10, 2015 Report Posted April 10, 2015 They can get loud and take some power but they're not a low end monster. Mid 30s and up is where they do the best at least thats what mine did. It's like rubbing your wiener up against a sheep.
