I'm pretty jealous, since i need my spare tire for scaling the gravely hills in Arkansas where our hunting cabin is. Roads there are no joke, i've legitimately LOST FENDERS before. I've decided i'm going to build a angle steel cage above the drivers side rear tire well hump, should be able to get 3 D2700's below the window line, should be enough for 3500w RMS.

On another note, i'm pretty sure my subwoofer is just a figment of my imagination? I tried to take a short clip of the Ultimax at full mechanical limits and not only did it not record ANY of the output, but all you hear from it the mechanical noise. It's the strangest thing i've ever seen, aside from the terrible refresh rate. I guess i have an excuse to buy a decent camera now.

So not only does my jasper jig doesn't cut a wide enough circle to countersink an 18" sub... and the bit i had wasn't long enough to cut through a doublestack 3/4" baffle. Wonderful.

Should be glassing the interior after my next paycheck. After that, gonna route the outside and bedline it.

Another garbage camera, but it's playing. I'm about at the limits of this amp, so once the box is finished i guess a bigger amp is going to be the next upgrade. Probably going to shoot for 2kw RMS @ 1 ohm capable.

Soooo... turns out i had a correction filter in my minidsp that allowed the sub to play flat from 20hz up. Removed that, this was the result. It bumps.

I had to replace that horrible excuse of a thermostat on my GF's 04.... had to tear out almost everything up front to get access.... including the alt... so if you dont know how old the thermostat is it would be a good time to replace it for shits and giggles! except for that insane price.... lol.....

Good call. I was planning on a whole round of new parts, including dampers, but didn't even think about the thermostat. Yeah, i've just gotten used to how long it takes to do work on these, i think it took me like... 4 hours to remove the stock alt the first time.

it took me somewhere between 6-8 hours for the thermostat and it was only 40F out that day... a t-stat on any car/truck up until this point was anywhere from 5-20 minutes.... I did the whole housing on my 07 explorer 4.0 in less than 15min and it was 10F outside
