Quite hot isn't a very specific description.

Can you keep your hand on it?

That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals.

I'd like to see some pics of how and where it's mounted.

Also info on the rest of the system may be benefical.

Can you keep your hand on it

i can keep my hand on it for a few seconds and no i dont have an inline fuse, the amp is ground with a 4 guage wire leading to a distribution block where it leads out to 0 guage

its mounted on the back of my car seat and its always down and it gets air from the opened windows

did you only just install it for the first time? or has it been installed for a while and only just started getting hot? what are you running from the amp? subs or speaker and what impedance are they?
