O Awg Strippers

whats do u guys use to stip 0 awg? i have been useing a blade and going around, just didnt know if there was a speacail tool out there.

what kind/size of solder do you use to solder them in(wasnt in either pinned topic i dont think)?

I use the blade and works the best. I use the regular electrical solder you get at homedepot. Should be under all the torches

i saw somthing about 60/40. should i get a thin one or thick roll?

I had good results with the thin solder when I did my terminals.

I used a blade as well.

60/40 solder...get the thin shit...i tried some thick stuff i had laying around when i ran out of the thin solder, and it sucked ass!!

as far as working with 1/0 gauge wire....metal sheers for cutting it and a utility knife for stripping it....thats what i do...

i use a knife and just cut away the coat. and then if i need to strip strands away just use a serrated esde and make a few swipes. and as everyone else said just use regular solder. thats what i used for my terminals after crimping them

I got these cutters I used on air line that work great then I use a blade also. Should be gettin some connections on Friday so I will post up on my build up. Thanx for the info

You can buy wire cutters that will cut up to 0/4 gauge wire at home depot they also work alright to strip the wire but if you dont want to spend alot on cutters then just use a razor blade
