Joe X
You can wire to one ohm and then set your gains so that it gets 1K. Is just that the output difference is minimal.
Jessica
i dont have anything to say. Run it at whatever you like, if it gets smelly turn down the volume. Not really that dificult. not like you are going to bottom out an sa-12. Might make it jump the gap though or trash the soft parts. Broke_Audio_Addict
You will not see that I know it may be confusing but base your power off what the amp is rated at 1000 rms. Now you won't be seeing that 1000 rms either on music. That's just how it is don't believe me if you don't want to or you could ask why that is or do the research yourself but I doubt you will. That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals. Broke_Audio_Addict
You'll be fine with that sub on that amp if the gain is set properly and the enclosure is built right. As stated earlier if something doesn't seem right turn the volume down and figure out what's up. Wire it to 4 ohm if you want to play it safe.
