Triticum Agricolam Posted May 6, 2015 Report Posted May 6, 2015 As long as you think you will be happy with the somewhat peaky response, yeah I'd just leave it how it is and change the port to 11" x 12" x 16" long. You should take into account how much space the port is going to take up vs your original one and adjust your ported chamber volume accordingly though. WE-B-THPN Posted May 7, 2015 Author Report Posted May 7, 2015 what wont give it a peaky response, a whole new design or different porting and tuning? or just a normal ported box not 4th order
Joe X Posted May 7, 2015 Report Posted May 7, 2015 what wont give it a peaky response, a whole new design or different porting and tuning? or just a normal ported box not 4th order Both box types can be peaky or not peaky, it all comes down to design, the larger the ported chamber the peakier the response in 4th bandpass, with ported, the larger the net volume the peakier the response. The peak will appear near your tuning frequency.
WE-B-THPN Posted May 7, 2015 Author Report Posted May 7, 2015 idk do you guys think its a worthy enough build to make it interesting?
