Won't be buying C2 audio subs anymore

Well, simply ordering them in the beginning was a PITA because i preordered them last summer and they missed the promised deadline by over a month. Strike 1

Lately they have dropped all forms of communication. Won't respond to emails/calls/ fb messages & posts. strike 2

And now the grand finale, both of my "Team 1k" 12's have fried every single tinsel lead, ON RATED POWER. strike 3

Now, from September up until a few weeks ago, i was running two vfl 120.1's strapped @.5 ohm per amp to the pair, which is way over rms of the subs, after which the tinsels and coils looked like they had just come out of the box.

Then last friday I pulled one amp and went back to 1 vfl @ 1 ohm and on monday is when the subs died.

Idk,but i'm pissed about them shitting out like that because I won't be able to upgrade for a month or so, and then to have the customer service go to shit is the cherry on the fucking cake.

I'm gonna give soundqubed a try, hopefully the hdc4 18 treats me better.

They all fried right where the last stitch holds the leads down too, which seems a little odd to me

they put up with a lot of shit, but for them to do that on rated with no distortion is shit. I happened to see the coils and tinsels a week or so before this and

they looked mint. so its kinds odd that this happened. its weird about their customer service as well because they used to respond quick. Idk. Soundqubed

will not disappoint ya.

You admitted you overdrive them for months that's what happens. I've seen amps give up the smoke without any music playing. Charge it to the game and order new woofers

I know I overdrove them, but they were not clipped. I'm quite a stickler on that. I had several hundred hours of play time over rms power without issue. and like i said the tinsels were mint even after all that.

I am more than willing to eat the cost, thats the name of the game, but they shouldnt have failed in this manner. Now if the cones had folded or the triple joint broke or i slinkied the coil, that'd be my fault and I knew what expect by overdriving them and wouldn't bitch.

it's whatever. I'd just avoid c2 if you thinking of buying them, A buddy hit a bump going down the road and his c2 sub magnet shifted and they won't respond to him either.

Go Soundqubed and you will not be disappointed. I have two hdc4 18s on two 3500.1s strapped at 1 ohm and they get loud, low and sound great. Money well spent.
