dsw422
Hey guys, I'm building a box with some pipe ports for the first time. I'll b using 3 or 4 inch pvc pipe. How do yall get it to stay put?? Triticum Agricolam
I use my router and circle jig to route a circular slot about 1/2" deep for the pipe to fit into. Then I glue it in with epoxy. After it has cured a use a flush trim bit to cut the inside flush with the inside of the pipe. Works great. dsw422
Thanks guys for the input.. I think I'm going to go with ur idea triticum. But with a little diffence. I'm going to route a hole for the pipe all the way thru. Then I'll use another layer of mdf and flush trim that to the pipe, and then roundover to look sorts like a real flared port.. Only other question I have is would gorilla glue sufficient for glue?? 2014 Ford Focus SE Sedan Factory Sony 10 Speaker Sound System 1994 Ford Bronco Dual head unit (i kno) Sony door speakers Kenwood Rear Speakers Custom Center console in the works. will house an NVX NSW10" https://m.facebook.com/WinnsCustomCarAudio/
Triticum Agricolam
Gorilla glue should work. I'd suggest you rough up the outside of the pipe for better adhesion.
