Black Beauty Project Build - 06 Ford F-250 Super Duty **1/27/18 - New pics starting on page 41**

OK, done cleaning the house.  Back to it for a bit.

Now it was time to wire everything up, or get the wires cut to length and ready for when the lugs show up.

10K in place. Temporarily. the plan with this was to build a frame around it when I was done and make it into a new floor essentially, and then add in a thick acrylic window over the top of it.  Then put a floor mat over it for daily so it didn't get scratched up or ruined.

DC 2.0K for the center console DC XL10.  This would locate under the seat when all is said and done.  Well, was supposed to.

I know it looks sandwiched here, but there's actually a good 1/4" - 3/8" space between the top of the cable and bottom of the top panel.

That pretty much wrapped up the cabling I needed to do in the back.  Then I addressed under the hood and the cables that needed to be ran back to the rear bank.

This is what it started out as.

My plan was, is, to run dual 1/0 cable to each side, but again, out of time so I left it with the 2/0 which was already ran on the passenger side and needed running on the driver side.  I picked up these inserts at home depot in the electrical isle.  This is the driver side

These things didn't like the 2/0 very much, and if I did it all over again, which I will be, I'll remove the deadener because was really playing havoc on those things making them pop out.

New cables from both batteries to the alt.  On the alt there is a 4 slot terminal.  I covered it with some pipe insulation because it was pretty close to the hood.  It doesn't hit, but why take a chance.  I may drill out some threaded holes in the terminal and counter sink some holes in a piece of plexiglass for a cover.  That way the screw heads aren't exposed.    It'll look a lot nicer than that.  Also new battery terminals on each battery.

plus new runs between the batteries.

Cut off the bolt ends after the nuts were on.  That way they could be cleaned up before the nut comes off.  Saves the threads.

What's interesting, I didn't plan this, is that the bottom of the cabin vents landed exactly where I cut the bottom of the bed out.  I thought that was pretty cool.

Next step is to get the boot on it.

Another adventure.  So if you can notice here, the boot is really wavy.  Well that's because I got the wrong one.  The edges that hold onto the sheet metal are supposed to be facing the same direction.  These were not.  So I ordered the wrong one, or they sent me a bad one, I'm not sure.  But at this point, I was out of tie, I had a huge hole in my truck, and so I had to use it.

I put some inserts in the rail to attach the enclosure to.  Security thought.

Dedication, Stupidity, a combination of both?  I don't know.  We're now at Sky High Car Audio in Sparks, Nv and Jon was nice enough to let me back in and keep working.  This is Friday, the day before the bbq.  I think we got there around 10am on that day.  We got right to work.  My brother was with me, that's why I say we. Oh, and since we got there we finally had lugs to put on the cable.

Great build I personally love how tight the box was in the bed keeps it lined up and won’t move, now need a Vid of that beast.
