Now it was time to wire everything up, or get the wires cut to length and ready for when the lugs show up. 10K in place. Temporarily. the plan with this was to build a frame around it when I was done and make it into a new floor essentially, and then add in a thick acrylic window over the top of it. Then I addressed under the hood and the cables that needed to be ran back to the rear bank. This is what it started out as. I picked up these inserts at home depot in the electrical isle. On the alt there is a 4 slot terminal. I covered it with some pipe insulation because it was pretty close to the hood. It doesn't hit, but why take a chance. I may drill out some threaded holes in the terminal and counter sink some holes in a piece of plexiglass for a cover. That way the screw heads aren't exposed. It'll look a lot nicer than that. So if you can notice here, the boot is really wavy. Well that's because I got the wrong one. The edges that hold onto the sheet metal are supposed to be facing the same direction. These were not. So I ordered the wrong one, or they sent me a bad one, I'm not sure. But at this point, I was out of tie, I had a huge hole in my truck, and so I had to use it.
