Cannoy Posted May 15, 2015 Report Posted May 15, 2015 How close can the end of a port be to the wall of the box?
Cannoy Posted May 15, 2015 Author Report Posted May 15, 2015 its a slot port, the port is 2.5" wide and the end is 4" from a wall.
Triticum Agricolam Posted May 15, 2015 Report Posted May 15, 2015 Will probably be fine, might lower your tuning slightly. "Nothing prevents people from knowing the truth more than the belief they already know it.""Making bass is easy, making music is the hard part."Builds:
Cannoy Posted May 15, 2015 Author Report Posted May 15, 2015 Well i normally use Torres to get a rough estimate before i build a box, but this time it was way off. Port ended up needing to be alot longer than Torres said.
Joe X Posted May 15, 2015 Report Posted May 15, 2015 You're ok with a 4" clearance. Not sure what you are doing though but that's another topic.
Cannoy Posted May 15, 2015 Author Report Posted May 15, 2015 Im building a box for a FI X thats 2.2 cu. ft., tuned to 33, and Im using 35 sq. in. of port area. With the dimensions i can use in my trunk it made the port end close to a wall, so i just wanted to make sure 4" was good enough before i started building.
