Midbass is not everything in reproducing music, it is just a small part of the bigger picture.

You might want to find someone with a quality sound vehicle to listen to to understand what it sounds like to appreciate how the overall sound sounds like.

It's really easy to over think things if your new to the sound quality game, start simple and small and work your way up as you learn the in's and out's of what quality systems are and how to build and tune them.

If you are looking at midbass check out the JL Audio ZR midwoofers. Very sweet and excellent sounding.
