bassman619
i have two memphis car audio mc1.1100 amps strapped to make 2200w rms. the birth sheets say they do about 1200w rms certified power. dynamic power i have no idea. i was wondering if these amps would be enough for two sundown x 12s. i know theyre rate 1250w rms a piece but people say they are some power hungry beasts and they are throwing 1500w+ at them daily a piece. i just dont want to buy 2 dual 2ohm x12s and hook them up and be disappointed. and then have to go out and get a 5000w amp because now all i can do is a 2ohm configuration. since im strapping these two amps together the best impedance they can do is 2ohms ..they wont go to 1 because they both just go into protect mode. tried it before Edited May 27, 2015 by bassman619 Quote You need trunk space to get groceries and shit...bitches love groceries
CleanSierra
A lot of people overpowering them are idiots too. Sundown has a lot of fanboys that love to think they're getting huge gains by simply doubling rated power. 1200-1500W RMS is plenty to get those subs to do their job. Don't go anywhere near the Sundown Audio Only page on Facebook or those guys will have you believing you need an SCV4000, SAZ5000, OR just an NS-1. They've ALL got "a buddy" that runs an X on 3K+ and a Zv4 on 5K. Stay away from those guys. To again answer your question, your power will be fine. Make sure you can feed voltage to those amps you have, they're power hungry and pull hard. Edited May 27, 2015 by CleanSierra Quote Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.
