BannisterEc Posted May 31, 2015 Report Posted May 31, 2015 Hi Looking to upgrade my subs to a pair of Redline 700 15" 2ohm to run off Taramps Hd8000 2 0hm. Any major diff in preformance between 700 and 800 series? 700 a good Buy?
RooTxBeeR Posted May 31, 2015 Report Posted May 31, 2015 Major differences is the 700 has a 3 inch voice coil. 800 has a 4 inch, can handle more power. Another big difference is 700 has a 2 layer spider, whereas the 800 series has 8. That amp, if it can do rated, will push 8k. Neither of those subs can run on that kind of power of in not mistaken.
