Twostrokeking Posted June 8, 2015 Report Posted June 8, 2015 Going to be designing a new box here soon and I want it to be perfect. I've been looking into 45s for the corners and such and that is all easy but in the port corner... how do you know how wide to make the 45 to keep the width the same all the way down the port? Guess I'm not sure how to go about the bend to keep it the same. audiofanaticz Posted June 8, 2015 Report Posted June 8, 2015 You measure it, mark a line where the inside of the port is, mark another line in the corner that is the ports width away. measure that line and that will be ideally the size of a 45 you need. Cut your 45 so its a tad larger and test fit, trim off a little if needed.
OrionStang Posted June 8, 2015 Report Posted June 8, 2015 A straight 45 will never yield the same port width throughout the turn. In addition, the 45 is likely pointless in output gained. SMD Super Seller My Feedback Thread
