Zv3 needs 3 cubes ported if you're feeding it a ton of power and tune it high. I'd go closet to or right at 4. And your guy said 5 cubes 4th order? Seems small and port takes up a good amount. Also I didn't see what power you were planning on using

my tuning is going to be a little on the higher side as the music i listen to requires it.. so lets say around 36-38hz. So at that frequency would 3 cubes net be accurate or would i still need to make it around 4?

He said 4 cubes minimum for the 4th order for the zv3 15

for power , dont laugh, i have a hifonics 1500 watt brutus, he told me to first run that and if i am not pleased with it then upgrade the amp.

i have no problem upgrading my amp for the sa 12s or the zv3, thats not a problem at all and im actually looking forward to it as i know i will prob need at least 2000-2200 rms for the sa 12s or the single zv3 15

my MAIN concern is output and impact plus weight. I cant have too much weight in the back.

Im obviously not a pro in car audio but my experience tells me that the sa 12s with the extra cone area will produce more output than the single 15 as both will be handling the same RMS power.

then again i could be totally wrong.. hence why im asking u guys.

That amp would be perfect for 2 sa 12s. It would even tickle the z

again, if i upgrade the amp for the z, what would produce more output and bass impact the z or the 2 sa 12s?

I have no idea. Every vehicle is differnt. Why do you want a 4th order in the first place?

i was recommended a 4th because the design of my car and trunk is one of those bass trap type trunks where its a tightly sealed trunk and the only way to get bass into the cabin is to have the seats folded down. So i was told that if i cut a big port or the entire rear deck out, they can build a 4th order and aim the port up through the rear deck and have all the bass energy shoot directly into the cabin in an attempt to increase the cabin gain as much as possible. And the added feature of this modification is that i would be able to have my rear seats up all the time.

The only issue with this is the weight and size of the sub and 4th box would be real heavy and also, im a lil confused because i was told that if i do that, i would hear a lot of port noise and dirty bass from the port instead of the clean bass from the sub itself.

so instead of a 4th, i may just do the 2 sa 12s and have the subs and port facing up directly underneath the cut out rear deck.. the sound waves should bounce up right off the rear window and aim directly towards the cabin and front part of the car. in theory, this makes sense, but in reality i have no idea what will happen.
