Hatch space in a PT Cruiser?

Recommended Posts

I know, I know they are ugly blah blah etc.... I don't want to hear any bashing of the Cruiser either... I'm really debating on getting one. Ive looked through the search function and on Google but can't really find anything.

I'm curious to how much space is actually back there. I seen a few vids on YouTube and looks like there's a decent amount of space. I would be doing just a single 15" on 3k(likely what I have now unless I change to a different 15) .

But any of you guys done any Cruisers, if so how much space is there? How did you design the box(sub and port position) etc

Thanks

I had one

I had an 18 back their. It was tight

As for measurement can't remember

I know this is kind of old....

So you fit a 18 in the hatch with backseats still in?

If so that sounds promising. Thats what I would like to do. Go Sub up, port up

Check the link in my sig

Had an 18" sub and port up

But I got that when I was getting into bass/out of pre fabs/learning

I wouldn't get an 18 again if I would to do it again

I had one and trust me, they can get loud.

I had the back seats out, and my builds were at the b-pillar with subs up and port back. Never deadened the thing, and never needed to. That round shape is strong and it wont flex. Only problem was that i kept breaking metal in the lower half of the back doors, and kept breaking the lock mechanism out of the hatch. I would have to climb over the box, take the interior panel off the lift gate, and trip the latch with my fingers to open it.
