Sounds like you dont have enough space for net or port for 15s. i wouldnt be surprised if 2 12s in an optimal box performed better than 2 15s in a box that they hate (well, not hate... but not love either). Is my port too small at a 8.5 aero. Which is 56.75 inches^2.
