prodigal_son
....of the test track that the amp gain was tuned to? Is this statement alluding to that? "Track 3 will ensure maximum sound quality, Track 7 will result in a louder system, Track 5 is a compromise). Your choice." I've read several pages of this forum before asking this question, and found no answer. Hoping some of you know the answer to this question. Skullz
Dynamic headroom is where the heavy hit or a sudden loud noise in a track can be powered without maxing the amps capability in producing the sound, the better the headroom the greater the impact will sound , but with more and more modern tracks they are becoming normalized and lose all dynamics. Kind of sad if you ask me to normalize music today. Quote 01 Ford focus ZX3 Pioneer AVH-X491BHS PPI PC 4800.2 Morel Maximo 6.5" x2

I do not use test equipment to set my gains. Inexpensive class D. Pioneer 9601 and 8604, trying to not have to buy an upgraded alternator for my son's Civic. The goal is to make it sound as good as possible.
