starkey814
Truck looks good and so does the box already. I'm always interested what people do with the Chevy ext cabs since I have the same truck. Tuned.
germanyt
OK so the issue of access to the subs should we need to has come up. Currently my design doesn't offer any way to get into the box aside from pulling the screws from the top and hoping the glue will separate. I was thinking that since I don't' have the loading wall installed yet I could make it somehow removable. The inner panel of the loading wall could have a large hole cutout. Much larger than the port. Port is 31x9 but the hole in the inner loading wall could be 40x10 or so. Then the outer loading wall could be cut just large enough for the port to slide in. Then if I need to pull the outer loading wall panel it'll reveal a 40x10 hole. Any ideas? edit. The top isn't installed yet either but the very front edge where the top meets the loading wall will be fiber glassed to reinforce the angle I have to put in the box. So perhaps the top is the place to make an entry panel. I just don't have any ideas. germanyt
Now thinking about just leaving like it is. If something ever happens we'll drill a hole and use a jig saw to cut an access hole then slap another piece on top to cover it.
