MrGrey13
Got some KnuKonceptz rca's one long 2 channel for the sub and 2 short ones for my arc audio XEQ and an AUX cord. More will be ordered soon but this will get me by for now until I get my other amps and speakers in... Durango build log
kirill007
Still interested in that port size Ive been avoiding this question because ive been down that road before, i dont want this build log to become a discussion about port size and blah blah blah... That being said, its 6"X10.5" which will put my tuning around 30hz. This box is not SPL specific by any means. It also comes with the torque app pre installed, I happened to already have a wireless OBD2 adapter for my car which is needed for this to work. Its running the full version of android 4.4.4 KItkat with some extras added in for car functionality like a radio tuner, navi and extra settings for my car. So far im pretty impressed with the quality. Its a downgrade on audio quality from my 80-PRS of course but I plan on using my ARC Audio XEQ and amps with this. I had a similar setup in my Durango and got pretty good RTA scores out of it especially for being a spl based vehicle. Can't make up your mind? Nice install though. Thinking is the root of all problems... You ALWAYS get what you pay for.

MrGrey13
I haven't been too happy with the overall setup so I tore it out... The sub sounded great, it was loud and did really good on the lows but... its just not what I want in the car, the setup was too big and I wasn't even done yet and I feel like I could do better so this is where im at now... empty trunk = weight reduction bro! Everything is out of the trunk including the battery. the spare tire is back in for now until I get all of my new gear. I started working on the wiring in the front behind the radio, I picked up some oem switches and usb port and wired them up. yellow cable going to the ABS control module for my traction control switch. I also extended the tire pressure reset button that was in the glove box so I could move it to the center console. While I was behind the glove box I mounted the GPS and WIFI antenna under the dash, thats the wound up wire in the picture. There is an OEM AUX port but its terrible quality because it connects through factory wiring to my radio so I had to do something about it. I used a KnuKoncepts rca to aux cable since the radio has rca inputs. I took apart the insides and drilled out the hole just big enough to fit the end through and fit a rubber grommet inside to fill the gap so the end wouldn't fall back through... Looks clean, all you have to do is feed the cable back into the hole and there is no wire mess everywhere! Now there is a cluster of wires behind the radio to clean up and squeeze in the dash including 4 sets of RCA's and OEM canbus and I still need to get my backup camera and wire that up behind here too.... The OEM integration is nice but man... I dont have everything I need to take the time to run everything to the back so I'm going to stuff the RCA's behind the glove box for the time being. Finished the wiring so I threw it back together. This is going to be a "valet" switch for my system for when I take my car to the dealer or someone drives it that I dont trust. its not fully hooked up yet, I will do that when I finish running the RCA's. I used a blank switch cover and used the spot from my pressure reset switch. All back together and working perfectly! The next step is to hard wire my dash cam so I dont have it plugged into the cigarette lighter... The rest is hidden though! MrGrey13
Its about time I actually do something other than spend money on my car... Me and a friend came up with some box specs that should make the CT stratos v2 subs sound amazing.. I took those specs and designed the box at work in AutoCAD when I had some free time. Got my wood on... Using a skill saw doesn't produce the best cuts, even when using a fence... I cut every piece about 1/8" wider then used a flush trim bit to make sure every peice is the exact width and perfectly strait. Soaking the back side of the kerf so it doesnt split. MrGrey13
Did some body work on the wood before spraying primer... This wont be the final color, just laying some primer for the next steps. Durango build log
