gage120
I have 1 sundown sa 12 on a ssl evo 3000 right now probably pushing 400 clean watts it's kinda loud but I want louder I was thinking maybe getting another sa 12 but a 2ohm sub so I would have to wire to 2 ohms or half an ohm but don't really want to upgrade my electric system I kinda was thinking I should get a rockford 1200 watt amp and getting a 4th order or maybe I should sell everything and get a new set up what do you guys think? Triticum Agricolam
I think you should use some periods when you are typing so its easier to read what you write. Since your existing sub is D2 that makes adding another sub a little tougher to do. My suggestion would be to get the RF 1200 amp, sell your SA-12 and buy a 15" of some kind. Going from 400 watts on a 12" to 1200 watts on a 15" will be a pretty significant upgrade. gage120
What if i got two fifteens? But I only had 1 in the box and there was still a hole in there for the other sub would it hurt it? If I played music with only 1 sub in the box? Triticum Agricolam
If you had a box for two 15"s, only used one, and covered the other hole, it would not be an ideal situation. The box would be way too big for the single 15", which would greatly reduce its mechanical power handling and would give you really peaky output. If you want to run two 15"s just save up until you have enough money to buy both. Or run one 15" now with the right box and build a new box when you get the second one.
