Build Question! Need advice.

A buddy of mine recently sold me a pair of Sundown SA-10's (2ohm) in a custom box. I'm looking for advice on my build.

Basically, two SA-10's (2ohm) on an Alpine M2000 amplifier.

- I plan on doing a big three upgrade. I drive a 4 cylinder Mazda.

- Additional battery?

Just looking for advice. Basically I have the subs set, I just need advice on powering it all. I will be using a 2000W amp and a definitely doing the big 3 upgrade immediately. As for a second battery, does anyone have any recommendations? I found a fairly good looking XS Power battery on Amazon for around $160.

Any and all help would be appreciated. THANK YOU!

Big 3 and additional battery is good enough for that power, I would also look into replacing stock battery.

Use good quality 0 or 0/1awg wire, I like to run both power and ground wires to the back.

And remember to fuse at both ends of the power wire.

Should be a good setup, post a build log :)

Do you recommend any specific battery? The XS battery I found online I'll post below. The stock battery I suppose should be changed, but that'll likely happen after this is completed. It all comes down to the money!

What's your budget range if you have one?

I'm not too familiar with each specific type but:
I would try to find a bigger one, like XS Power D1200 is about the smallest I would bother bying, depending on if I need a small battery. Or probably better yet an XP series, those are ment as secondary batteries with more capacity for your money, rather than delivering high bursts of amperage.

A D-series would be a great change for your stock battery, and for instance a XP2000 would be a good battery in the back. With 80ah (vs 28ah for the D925 and 44ah for the D1200) that has a decent capacity.

Or if you wanted to you could change just the stock battery with the biggest D-series you could fit.

I personally would do that if it's not so new, or the XP2000 as I'd like to be able to play my system without worrying about draining my batteries to fast, and also with the engine off sometimes.
