The link above is what I've got gathered so far to build an SPL civic. The car will not be driven, it will not have a tag at the end of this month. The passenger seat is optional. The interior panels are optional. Lots and steel and welding materials are being gathered as we speak to strengthen the car where it needs it. Also seat things to the floor that need to be seated, like batteries and boxes.

Well this is my car and I wanna break the windshield ASAP. Conrete, many sheets of MDF plan on going into the construction of the box but does it matter which way the speaker is facing in a competition? Like if its firing at the roof does that up you in a different class? I havent decided what to do and I'm quite open to suggestions. Please click the link above to see the parts of my build I've aquired so far.

Thank's for reading.

Heres some crude dimensions I'm dealing with on the photobucket page. If the link doesnt work search for PBH884 on the site for the user name.

well if its going to be like that , wall it off, as close to the bpillar as you can get and tune it way high, (50-60hz) and throw ungodly amounts of power to it....

I thought you wanted to break the windshield?? If you want to break the windshield without a wall, you will need.....

lol if youre all out spl, spl2k is the way to go and you will achive your goal, other wise without a shit ton of power i dont see you breaking glass with one sub in any car unless you are "meade styleing" the window, so wall it off so there is very very little air space a huge box and monster port alot of power and pressure.....

Lol if you'll come to my house and build a box for free sure =] Otherwise I got the help I need for the math doodles of numbers and math symbols.. Well, that sounds like alot? How about like 10k watts to the one w/ a wall?

If you build an extreme-style car with a huge console/dash buildout and roof build-down and reduce the cabin volume to something tiny then you might just pop the windshield. You'll need to keep ALL the pressure in so you're basically coupling the subwoofer with the windscreen through air pressure/vaccuum... then you might break stuff.

Box design and setup is the biggest part. Your absolutely right. Then subs and lots of power of course.
