Broke_Audio_Addict
It is not stable at 2 ohms bridged which is why I said he can't bridge the amp. He has svc 4 ohm subs so either has them wired to 8 ohm or 2 ohm which is why I asked how they are wired. That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals. punkrockprs
Ok so I exchanged the other amp, got the same thing but wired it non bridged. It's not over heating anymore sounds decent. Doesn't cut out anymlre like it was before. I know it's not quality but it's a temp setup that will be going in my girls car as a temp setup wen I get something better in my car. MotorCityFats13
if you have 2 SVC 4ohm subs even if the amp was 2ohm stable X1 bridged what would be the advantage of this than just running it 4ohm X2... I would think efficiency would drop when bridged vs 2 channel..... I had 4 punch DVC 4ohm subs back in the early 2000's and 2 punch 800a2's and wired each to 2ohm and ran them each on a single channel each..... I could have gone 4ohm bridged 2 subs on each amp still but 1 channel vs 2 channel

mcfalcon
I'm sorry for all the confusion. When I said 2 ohm stable I was referring to the rockford he was asking about. I never looked at the pioneer. But I'm glad you got it straightened out I figured it was ohm because right out the box getting super hot is most likely something you done or a faulty amp. Still learning but have started gathering.
punkrockprs
Yeah I bridged them at first but I exchanged it for a new one just to be safe. Now the only reason I got the equipment I did is cause I just wanted some kind of bass now and it's not permanent its just temporary C-Fizzy, on 01 April 2012 - 01:06 PM, said: Clip city bitch, clip clip city bitch. 10's, 12's, 15's, goin up in flames bitch.
