ToNasty Posted September 18, 2015 Report Posted September 18, 2015 I'm thinking of doing a 3/4" peice of plexi on the second chamber of my enclosure to see inside. What's the best way to attach plexi to the wood ***Super Sellers List***http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/25829-super-sellers-buyers
rockFord_Expedition Posted September 18, 2015 Report Posted September 18, 2015 If it were me, i'd do bolts with threaded inserts every 6 - 8 inches, and use a weatherproof sealer, or that new butyl rope from Second Skin between the two. rockFord_Expedition Posted September 18, 2015 Report Posted September 18, 2015 I meant T-Nuts. I really like those. theyre threaded and they bite really well into the wood. Drill your holes for them, then line them up and use your bolt to get the t-nuts to bite in to the wood. Use a couple of fender washers to keep the bolt head from doing any damage to that side. Once the t-nuts are sunk in to place real good you're good to go. Old School/New School RF Build March 2015 SOTM Winner How to crimp large wire

dsw422 Posted September 18, 2015 Report Posted September 18, 2015 tnut work unless he can mount them from behind i do not understand either.. if he is going to have a "window" cutout, then he obviously has access to the to the insider perimeter of the mounting surface.. and if he plans on using the plexi as the whole panel, then id make a wood mounting surface with the window as large as can be to fit tnuts in.. 2014 Ford Focus SE Sedan Factory Sony 10 Speaker Sound System 1994 Ford Bronco Dual head unit (i kno) Sony door speakers Kenwood Rear Speakers Custom Center console in the works. will house an NVX NSW10" https://m.facebook.com/WinnsCustomCarAudio/
