Joe Kralovetz Posted September 19, 2015 Report Posted September 19, 2015 Alright so I'm running 1 Sundown Audio x12 rev 1 - d4 at 2ohms on a - hifonics Brx 2416.1d I just got my 2nd sub not long ago, and I plan on upgrading my amp, before I start to run both them. Which amp would you guys recommend? My current electrical is stock alt.... 2 xs power d3400 batteries and big 3 and 0 gauge wiring all around. I plan to run the subs at 1 ohm. Would I be better off buying another brx 2416.1d and strapping them or get a different amp that is bigger? Budget of roughly 800 dollars. Thanks in advance. I realize I spelt recommendations wrong in my post title.. just a fyi lol 2007 Chevy Equinox Pioneer AVH-X5800BHS Big 3 2 runs of 2/0 Welding cable 2 - XS Power D3400 Batteries in Parallel - Fused at 250A Alpine MRP-2000D - Temp amp. 1 - ZV4 15" Rev 1
RedWolf Posted September 19, 2015 Report Posted September 19, 2015 You may perhaps want a HO alternator first...

RainStryke Posted September 19, 2015 Report Posted September 19, 2015 Why not just stay Sundown Audio all around and get the SCV 2000D? Ampre audio seems to be putting out some very nice quality amps at the moment, i'd also look into their 2K amp: https://www.droppinhzcaraudio.com/ampere-audio-aa-2000-1-2000w-rms-monoblock-car-amplifier/ A few more options are the DC Audio 2K, Crescendo Audio BC2000, SoundQubed 2200.2D, Sound Magus VS3500.

Rms on these subs is 1250 each, was thinking might be best running a 3k-3.5k watt amp ( and set the gains to match rms of the subs) so im not peaking a 2k amp? Guess the question comes also, am I better off running 1 amp that is higher watts 3-3.5k or 2 that are 2kish? 2007 Chevy Equinox Pioneer AVH-X5800BHS Big 3 2 runs of 2/0 Welding cable 2 - XS Power D3400 Batteries in Parallel - Fused at 250A Alpine MRP-2000D - Temp amp. 1 - ZV4 15" Rev 1
