afrakes Posted September 23, 2015 Report Posted September 23, 2015 Hey guys, I will be crimping some 1/0 sky high lugs into some xs power ofc. Was just curious if a 16 ton crimper is necessary or will a 10 ton do me just fine? The 10 tons are half the price so that's the only reason I'm asking. MotorCityFats13 Posted September 23, 2015 Report Posted September 23, 2015 from where I am looking at prices the price from 10 to 16 ton only changes the price around $10... these are the one I'll be buying one day.... but I dont know if they are really rated at 16 ton but I doubt that much is needed to crimp the lug.... the skyhigh crimpers are leverage although pricy and I dont think they come close to 10 ton and they show those crimping 1/0 lugs all day http://www.ebay.com/itm/271428289917?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

afrakes Posted September 23, 2015 Author Report Posted September 23, 2015 Ok I saw some 10 tons for $15-$20. But if that one you linked works well it shall be ordered tomorrow. That's literally the last piece I need to complete my install!! So pumped! Clownrock95 Posted September 23, 2015 Report Posted September 23, 2015 Most of the 10 ton ones don't have a die large enough for 1/0 welding wire (which is smaller than proper 1/0 car audio wire) or larger from what I found
