Your help is very much appriciated in clearing up a few things. Yes i know it difficult to design a proper box. I just need help clearing up a few things

When you say 150-200 square inches of port do you mean H x W x D? Or just length and hight but the depth is determind by something else?

The seald side i decided on 2 because the manufacturer says 2-2.5 is optimal space for a regular sub box so i thought 2 would be a good size right?

Well id like to play anywhere from 25-60 or 50 if it were to be possible i listin to all kinds of music.

While I haven't built that particular design, I've built other decware designs and they failed miserably.

From what I know of the "wicked one", it should work OK, but only with certain subs (unlike his claims). Even then its nothing special. Its just a 4th order bandpass box with a funky port shape. The design for that box used to be freely available, you might be able to still find it if you look around.

Yea i got the design for it for free i bookmarked it. Im just torn between deciding what box would be perfect for me. So far i think ill just keep the 4th order design.

2 cuft sealed per sub,3 subs total

And 12 cuft ported side to achieve a 2.1 ratio

Tuned port to about 43hz?? And about 200-150 inches of port area? Am i correct in my assumptions?

Just want a great daily box. What about flipping the subs with the magnet in the port area and the cone in the sealed, any effects?

here's my two cents i started with 4th order band passes and they are great low end monsters if thats what your looking for, they just skyrocket with the low notes from the get go, heres the thing with them after your tuning frequency they start to roll of and decrease output. i like to play decaf and slow and throw so the 4th order was great and easier to design. but it wasn't what i was looking for i wanted a musical box that i could play all kinds of music, so now im starting to play with a parallel tuned 6th order band-pass, now i get a bigger bandwidth and sounds more musical to the ear. it harder to design and you have to fiddle with it but its all a learning curve.

now has everything goes everyone usually has a different experience and taste. i just wanted to share my experice with you...

now has far as what i would do in your shoes is i would do a 4th order bandpass to start with if your a beginner with boxs, even better yet maybe get some help from someone with more box building experience and then work your way up

Thanks for your advice man. What you said makes sense. I should just try to stick to something simple as possible less things to go wrong. Makes sense tune to what you want. I want to kill the lows to atleast mid 40's would be GREAT for now.
