Mack187Murder Posted October 17, 2015 Report Posted October 17, 2015 So I have an xs power 3300 amp battery installed with 0 gauge wiring and the big three all done in zero gauge wiring. im adding a second 3300 amp xs power battery. my question is how to wire it. yes I know theres shit out there that will tell me but now that u know what I want u can tell me exactly what to do cause fucking up is not on my todo list today should I have 2 batteries hookt up as starting batteries or is that pointless. whats the best way to hook up. I will be pushing 5000 watts eventually. which wires go where. thank you in avance .
reedal Posted October 18, 2015 Report Posted October 18, 2015 Positive to positive, negative to negative. Don't forget to fuse the positive in accordance with the amperage rating for that wire at the length you're using. Example: SHCA OFC 1/0 power wire = max of 350A @ 20ft. MotorCityFats13 Posted October 18, 2015 Report Posted October 18, 2015 if you don't use an isolator then all the battery's connected to the front battery will act as starting battery's... they will all try to maintain the same charge.... just remember both sides of the main run will need to be fused if both sides are live
Mack187Murder Posted October 18, 2015 Author Report Posted October 18, 2015 thank you for your replies. Fats when u says both ends will be live then that means that the power wire running between both batteries positives will need a fuse at eac end of that power wire correct? .
