Can this box be improved?

I built this box for my dd 2512 and now upgraded to a dc xl12. If my math is right its about 1.8 cubes and tuned to around 30. Im currently running a hifi1000 to it but before I get a bigger amp and give this thing real power I want my box perfect. I would love any input on making this box better i dont have any box building programs i just use the chart on dds website as a guide. Its a daily setup no competitions I want it tuned lowish like 30 and im open to aeroports if thats the best route. Heres the specs.

Height: 16.75"

Width: 17.75"

Top Depth: 18.25"

Bottom Depth: 26"

Chunk cut out: 4"H x 7.5"W

Port 2" x 16.25"

Port length 23"

Yeah according to the box calculators online its tuned too high. According to the chart on ddaudio website it should be a 21.5" port for 35hz which seems correct. I started with a 26" port and it was way too low, would only play c&s so I cut the port down and now it plays some of the medium bass tones but still wont hit higher tones and plays lows well. So what should the port length be?

Your box is 1.9 net tuned to 41 hz and your port would need to turn to be 23" (it does?).

Also make sure you get the same impression in the passenger seat, probably it is that you have the port too close to your ears case in which you could place the box behind the passenger front seat.

. If placement won't work you could try to reduce net airspace of the box for a test, like half a cube, you could use anything solid to put in like some MDF.
