alozano415 Posted November 4, 2015 Report Posted November 4, 2015 Well hi, im new around this world Right now i have KS Series 6.5" Components KS Series 6.5" Coax With a nakamichi NGTA 704 amp 4x60 rms (4 ohms) And the subwoofer is : Planet Audio BB12DVC, 500 watts rms With a nakamichi NTGD 600.1 at 1x500 (2 ohms) Should i change my amps for other ones? or they are ok ? What brands are good? Im really new into this

Don't get into the "which brand" game until you hear what you have--installed and tuned properly--and see where it is lacking for your tastes. Although it is a great way to waste money. Static drops are my bag.

Make sure your crossover points are proper, whether you are using the ones in the deck or the ones in the amps. Do a proper gain setting on your amps with everything set flat. From there you can make minor adjustments per recording from the head unit depending on what controls you have available. Sub level, bass up a notch or two (at most), etc. That's where I'd start--maximize everything you already paid for. Only thing it might cost is some new port material (if you can modify the current box) and time.*** ***Edit: during that time you will probably learn more about audio and your system in particular than you will asking random dudes on the internet.
