New DD in BMW. pop/click sound. Help Pls.

Ok as topic says i replaced the old pioneer AVH-P2300DVD worked fine just way to basic for me and making this my daily. So i installed an Avh-x2700bs using all the same hardware that was previously used. Install seems professionally done with the metal mounts and relay that was installed.

now to my issue i installed the avh-x2700 the same way the old unit was wired besides 2resistor/little inline fuse things and i hear i chirp/slightpop sound when turning car off. while changing volume at low level i hear a slight thud/bass sound coming from speakers.I when back and made sure ground connection was tight. Even did some looking up and saw that dimmer switch may cause so i unhooked(no change) then reinstalled the resistor back on the red wire(no change).

Also when antenna cable is unhooked power to headunit turns off.

Might what to take out those double splices(the triple and quad?? Splices to) and check to make sure all the wires are connected where they should be

I had a popping noise after I installed my deck turned out I had my remote hooked to a speaker wire

Holy butt connectors!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cut that shit out and solder the wires together and use some shrink tubing on them, you'll avoid a ton of problems butt connectors can cause when crammed into small spaces. I solder all my relays and shrink tube them as well to keep the amount of space they take up inside the dash behind radios and prevent the possibility of the wire coming off the relay.

i know there are alot of connections especially since i went back and cut wires and re attached trying to problem solve. i wanted to make sure the relay was hooked up the way they had it. just went out to car an recheck all connection they are in correct placement. stereo make beep sound and has soft tone playing everytime i turn volume up or down even with no music. car is 01 330ci has haram kardon system in it.

would this being a newer headunit than previous could i add a better ground to different location(would that help)

Popping might be from a bad ground and the h/u is trying to use something else as a ground instead.

are you using that relay as a way to use video while driving. your newer unit may require a delay chip to make that work. the relay get around only works for older units. it may be grounding through there as well.

may need a feedback diode across relay as well,

if it powers off when you unplug the antenna plug then the ground is bad and the HU is grounding through the antenna.... this is usually enough to cause some pretty bad interference issues...... the antenna is a ground but should not be the only working ground point

thank yall for the help been busy at work this week will check out the ground with a meter. that makes sense about the antenna.
