Yellow1000 Posted November 27, 2015 Report Posted November 27, 2015 I bought a used x12 that appears to be in good shape. Both coils work. Hooked to a p1000 Rf amp, it only moves about an inch or so but don't seem to put out much sound. What's the deal here? Quote

Yellow1000 Posted November 27, 2015 Author Report Posted November 27, 2015 The amp and head unit is not the issue. I removed my two DD 8s which were set perfectly and hooked this 12 up in its place. In a 2.75 cu ft box first. Then I tried a smaller box I had laying around second. Same result in either box. Like it was canceling or something? Quote

Just not very much at all and by not very much, one of the 508s would be much louder. I will triple check wiring again tomorrow but I'm not convinced I got the wiring backwards in two different boxes . Quote
