michigancapri92
Since the last computer i built had an 8800gt circa 2007 i decided it was time for a new one! Some things i got for budget and will upgrade later but its a pretty solid unit IMO Specs: Intel core I7 4790K OC to 4.6ghz 32 Gigs DDR3 PC3-19200 2400MHz TridentX Series CL10 EVGA GeForce GTX 960 4GB SSC GAMING ACX 2.0+ 128 GIG SSD 1TB 7200 HHD Thermaltake 850W PSU I have the CPU clocked at 4.6ghz the GPU core is clocked +40mhz and Memory +400mhz (i need to learn more on tweaking the GPU any advice would be AWESOME) I have not OC the RAM yet still getting to that point. Everything so far runs smooth as butter, the CPU will clock all the way up to 4.8 crashes at 4.9 but runs hot with current cooling 4.7 was stable after a 15 minute full load but sat at 74C so i backed down to 4.6 and running crysis 3 at very high on 1080 the CPU hasnt gone past 50C and GPU past 61C Still getting used to the BIOS on the new boards and i know i can still do alot more. Any advice on what you think i could OC the GPU to or the Memory ill take anything i can get. Hope you enjoy! will get a 3Dmark score up soon! yurvalentine
Looks sweet man. I'm in the same boat with wanting to upgrade my GPU, it kills me to not be able to max out new games like I could two years ago.

I think oneof my problems is im using the coolermaster thermal paste that came with the cooler ... need to get some arctic silver Teamcapri.comThe TeamCapri 1992 Mercury Capri XR22012 FORD EDGE SQ BUILDOld build logMy FeedBack1992 Mercury capri XR2 Hyper LED
shogen
also if you can use another fan on the heatsink... I used a low profile noctua setup on the heatsink itself, 2 x 120mm so it created a stronger tunnel out the back...
