Dispensa
Hey everyone. Ill try to make this short. Was playing music this morning (not loud probably around 12 volume, and i have no subwoofer installed at the moment) and it suddenly stopped and this really loud static noise came out of my speakers. I can barley hear the music playing over the loud static noise. Was wondering if this happened to anyone, or any suggestions? Thanks all for reading. -mike

never knows best
so speakers are being ran off head unit power only no external amps? is the static only out of one speaker or all speakers? are they stock speakers and stock wire? 3vil
Also, did the static happen on all sources; CD, radio, aux, blue tooth, etc?
Wicks
Sounds like a possible intermittent connection (ground maybe). Pull head unit out and check all the connections. Make sure they're properly soldered or seated. Although I wouldn't think just a simple lost signal would cause that much static... Try out all the suggestions above as well to see if you can pin it down to something specific. 3vil
My first guess is the antenna cable slipped out, but that's why I asked what source(s) have this problem.
Dispensa
so speakers are being ran off head unit power only no external amps? is the static only out of one speaker or all speakers? are they stock speakers and stock wire? everything speaker related is stock only thing that is not stock is head unit. i believe the car has a stock amp that powers speakers. static was out of all speakers. so yes, stock speakers, stock wire.
