Hotdog
Did my first calibration today with the DD-1. Pretty simple to follow but had interesting results. Tested a Pioneer Head unit max volume is 62 did not clip until I hit 60. Pretty clean Went into a Kicker crossover from radio so I tested and adjusted the output of the kicker crossover. Out of Crossover to the mids / highs amp which was a pioneer. Hooked DD-1 to the speaker wire output and turn gain all the way down. Start track two and adjust the gain and I go all the way to max gain with no clipping. That cant be common can it? Max gain and no clip? reedal
i believe the issue with that in another recent DD-1 thread was that the crossover points were filtering out the signal, to the point that the amplifier being set was clean all the way to max when using the DD-1. so make sure allllllllllll filters and crossovers are off or set to full pass.
