SCATHED
I have a pioneer headunit and Crescendo amp hooked up to my sub. When setting the LPF, should I turn the LPF on my amp all the way up and then set the LPF on my headunit to my desired range? (about 80-100hz) Or...do I do the opposite? Thanks
MrSkippyJ
Personal preference really, just make sure you only use one. SCATHED
So is turning the HPF to its max setting on the amp and then setting the HPF to 80hz on the HU considered only using one?

MrSkippyJ
Yeah if you can't shut it off then max would be the next best thing. bbeljefe
Head unit crossovers are nice but I like to use the amplifier crossovers because some head units lose their settings when you remove battery power. If you're doing it yourself and are aware of that fact then it's no big deal but when I do a customer vehicle, I always set them that way... especially on high pass circuits.
