From_the_Valley Posted February 4, 2016 Report Posted February 4, 2016 I have an old sundown 100.4D and I bought it used for a decent price a few years ago. Worked great and got loud, but now I have no sound coming from channel 4 and very minimal sound coming from channel 3. The front two are just as good as before though. Any reason why this would happen? I've had it apart and cleaned the switches with deoxit and lube but it didn't help much. Also it's not the speakers since I swapped those out and still get a usual hiss sound from noise in the system somewhere, but no music. Nothing looked burnt up or smelled weird when I had it apart, and it still looks as good as always.
3vil Posted February 4, 2016 Report Posted February 4, 2016 What about pulling ch 1+2 rca's and putting them into 3+4, still have the same problem?
Kyblack76 Posted February 4, 2016 Report Posted February 4, 2016 Swap the rcas and if it follows go backwards. Stays the same, amp SMD SUPER SELLER The Burban Build Blazer Build sold Acura trunk build sold
From_the_Valley Posted February 5, 2016 Author Report Posted February 5, 2016 Hmm so if I switch channels around, the rear speakers start working and the fronts don't. So it might be coming from the head unit or bad rcas? It's also an intermittent thing sometimes it doesn't sometimes it does. Thanks.
Kyblack76 Posted February 5, 2016 Report Posted February 5, 2016 wurd swap INPUT... if it follows, then its the incoming. If it doesnt, then its amp or after.. You could then swap out put speaker leads, and narrow down more...... Just eliminate .. SMD SUPER SELLER The Burban Build Blazer Build sold Acura trunk build sold
