Jonathan Tyler Ecton-Rodriguez Posted February 6, 2016 Report Posted February 6, 2016 Would the length of this port be 19 7/8" ? im still not 100% sure on port lengths
ShadeTreeMechanic Posted February 6, 2016 Report Posted February 6, 2016 Maybe 14 7/8. I'm not sure what you have going on there. Why is it shaped like a "T"? ShadeTreeMechanic Posted February 6, 2016 Report Posted February 6, 2016 Ok I see what your doing. Interesting design. What are the dimensions for each part of the port? The part along the back wall looks to be 2x the size of the main port because it is open on both ends. Even though it has the same dimensions, the right side will add to the left side. This will in effect raise the tuning frequency because the effective cross section will be doubled for that part. 91 C350 Centurion conversion ( Four Door One Ton Bronco) 250A Alternator (Second Alternator Coming Soon) G65 AGM Up Front / Two G31 AGM in Back Pioneer 80PRS CT Sounds AT125.2 / CT Sounds 6.5 Strato Pro component Front Stage CT Sounds AT125.2 / Lanzar Pro 8" coax w/compression horn tweeter Rear Fill FSD 5000D 1/2 ohm (SoundQubed 7k Coming Soon) Two HDS315 Four Qubes Each 34hz (Two HDC3.118 and New Box Coming Soon)
Triticum Agricolam Posted February 6, 2016 Report Posted February 6, 2016 When you split a port in two like that, the two sides should each have half the port area than the part before the split does. Also your port length would be 14-7/8". "Nothing prevents people from knowing the truth more than the belief they already know it.""Making bass is easy, making music is the hard part."Builds:

Triticum Agricolam Posted February 7, 2016 Report Posted February 7, 2016 You are at 21" of port length in the picture you just posted. "Nothing prevents people from knowing the truth more than the belief they already know it.""Making bass is easy, making music is the hard part."Builds:
islandpride684 Posted February 7, 2016 Report Posted February 7, 2016 the port length you enter will be the imaginary center line running thru the middle of the port... Build Log http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/186921-blk9te-07-yukon-slo-mo-build/page-3?hl=%2Bblk9te#entry2881410
