SCATHED Posted February 19, 2016 Report Posted February 19, 2016 I just installed a Mechman 240 amp alternator on my 2002 f150. The stock alternator had a place to plug in the exciter wire, but the mechman doe not. Is the exciter wire not needed for the Mechman alternator?
