FI 4 life Posted February 22, 2016 Report Posted February 22, 2016 Hey guys I have a question, I'm gonna be running a ampere 3800.1 at .6 ohms, and then eventually adding another. I can get as many c&d m300 batteries as I want for $30 a peice. Or I could go and buy xs power xp3000's. I have a 320 amp alt I'll be running as well. My question is would it be worth running the c&d's or the x's power batteries? Just seems like there is a catch since the batteries produce 78ah and I'm getting them so cheap.
Clownrock95 Posted February 22, 2016 Report Posted February 22, 2016 http://www.batteriesasap.com/upreupcddyba.html is this what you are kook ng at ? (Edit: looking at?)
audiofanaticz Posted February 22, 2016 Report Posted February 22, 2016 Battery for battery the XS dwarfs said C&D. But if your getting them for $30 each Id say run them, but I would load test them prior to buying. However I would assume they are used so then who knows how old they are and their duty/charge cycle, or how much sulfation is built up on the plates. Also if I remember correct the C&D batteries have a higher internal resistance than the XS Power batteries.
MADVIBES Posted February 22, 2016 Report Posted February 22, 2016 There is a local guy who runs around here selling them as cell phone tower take outs, same price. they seem to hold up for a while, worth the price if they put out decent CCA still.
