baron_of_bass
So I'm pretty much finished with this this build, I know, it took a loong time, but everything pretty much came out the exact way I wanted it. Every single wire and lug, anything you can think of I took my time with. There is some pics that I didn't snap. So, under the baseboard, I made a battery box to house the little XS powers. I made two runs of power from the front to the back and organized all the wires behind the "amp rack". My goal was to make this build as sleek as possible. I'm pretty much done, just have to cut out the sides of the box, and shoot them with liner so everything is hidden and unnoticeable. I'll upload some more pics later but this is just what I have so far. My boy wanted to keep it within budget, and for the most part we did, but the roof noise is disgusting. It defeniey needs some work. It takes away from the beauty of the bass imo. Nothing like hearing a nasty flexing roof while your slamming. Yesterday I went back and retuned everything with my dd1 and cc1. Initally, I didn't think the 2600 watt amp would make the woofers move, so when I set my gains I turned the bass boost half way on the amp, but I immediately noticed that I needed to turn it done. So yesterday I reset the gains on the 125.4, and 2600.1. Everything in this set up is passive, but I crossed the 6.5's at 70hz, and they are doing a pretty good job of it. The 4in CDT's are crossed over at 250hz, and the subs play everything below 70hz. First time using my cc1 to set the low pass filter, and subsonic filter. Disgustingly easy tools (cc1 and dd1) to use. Low pass on the amp is set to 71hz and the subsonic is set to 25hz. Everything in the audio control units is set up with these little modules that I thought I'd hate, but they aren't too bad. I wish I would have gotten more pics. I do want to say that the shop or person that did the original install broke almost every single one of the clips for the doors, kick panels, etc. sucks that people don't treat other people's cars like their own. I'll post more pics when I get a chance. Team Bass-Hz
