I am using the amp cross over at 100hz. What I would do is build a box using the ts parameters. ShadeTreeMechanic Posted August 2, 2016 Author Report Posted August 2, 2016 I just went out to the garage to measure the boxes. They are about 1 cubic foot each. I found the empty boxes they came in and they make no recommendation to box size or even hint at the T/S parameters. This is basically a big mid range / horn tweeter combo that is listed to play 80hz to 22khz. The mid bass output I would say is typical for a 10 inch mid bass. I found the T/S for the 10" without the tweeter. In a sealed box with a Q of .7 for a flat response, it calls for a box of 1.1 cubic feet. This gives a resonant frequency of 84hz and a 3db down point at 85hz. I don't know if it would be the same for the coax, but they sound good to me in 1 cube each. The power handling is less and the voice coil on the mid is smaller. I am happy with the horn tweeter and I'm sure you will be too.
