Nightshade
So I made some progress with the build. I still need to round over the edges of the box and stain it black and clear coat it. There is progress never the less. photobucket The box is pretty large. It has to slide in through the rear seats with the rear bench taken out. I tried to take out the factory subwoofer that is mounted to the rear deck since it would give me a bit more room, but two out of the three bolts would not come out at all. If I really wanted it out it could be done, but honestly I can get it in there as is so I will leave it for now. I am hoping to get it in the car playing this week so I can decide if it is worth staining or if its back to the drawing board. I still need the XS Power battery too, but that won't happen for a couple of weeks. 2013 VW Jetta GLI 2.0 Turbo 1 Sundown Audio SCV2000 1 Sundown Audio X15 V2 1 XS Power D3100 Audio Control LC6i Stock Deck 146.4 sealed on the dash at 37hz 2001 Focus ZX3: RETIRED Team Sundown Audio, Team XS Power, 2 time NSPL Car 3601-Up Champion, 2 time NSPL Car Hardcore ChampionHighest NSPL Scores to date:154.3db on the dash sealed at 46hz, 156.2db in the kick at 46hz155.2db unofficial on dash at 43hz
Nightshade
Also forgot to add that I still need to add some bracing to the box as well. I think I am just going to go with 1" oak dowel rod.

Nightshade
Thanks for the Jetta love guys. I have talked to a few guys over in Europe that say these get extremely loud for trunk cars. I am looking forward to proving that right myself. I got set back a little on the time frame due to not finishing this weekend, but it will be in and playing by the end of the week for sure. The only thing that I am worried about is playing the setup without an extra battery in the car to begin with. I'm sure it will be fine as long as I don't go stupid full tilt for long periods of time.
Nightshade
I am thinking about switching the battery idea from XS Power to NSB. I don't need a ton of extra battery power really and the price and performance is there with NSB. They make slimmer batteries than XS Power does which will allow me to conserve the little extra room that I am willing to give up in the car.
