MotorCityFats13 Posted April 16, 2016 Report Posted April 16, 2016 pretty sure when you cover one port the tuning changes so much that the problem go's away.... if this box is a shared chamber dual port box once you cover 1 port the tuning would drop.... say you were at 35hz cover one and you get 25hz.... so it sounds like the problem is that 1 sub is unloading, down side is you get 1/2 the port area... if you can try to do 2x on the size of the port and only run one
ShadeTreeMechanic Posted April 16, 2016 Report Posted April 16, 2016 How much power are you running? Where is your subsonic filter set? It will be hard to know what you have until you pull the sub to confirm it is not damaged. 91 C350 Centurion conversion ( Four Door One Ton Bronco) 250A Alternator (Second Alternator Coming Soon) G65 AGM Up Front / Two G31 AGM in Back Pioneer 80PRS CT Sounds AT125.2 / CT Sounds 6.5 Strato Pro component Front Stage CT Sounds AT125.2 / Lanzar Pro 8" coax w/compression horn tweeter Rear Fill FSD 5000D 1/2 ohm (SoundQubed 7k Coming Soon) Two HDS315 Four Qubes Each 34hz (Two HDC3.118 and New Box Coming Soon)
Seyzar18 Posted April 16, 2016 Author Report Posted April 16, 2016 It's a 1500.1kicker down to 2 ohm.. I'm going to pull the sub out here in prolly a hour and check it out I will get back to you and let you know
Seyzar18 Posted April 17, 2016 Author Report Posted April 17, 2016 Well I feel pretty dumb.. Figured out the problem.. Now it pounds good... Pulled the sub and right away saw the jumper hanging down... Somehow the stripped wires at one end was completely cut off so it disconnected one coil and was only playing as a single coil sub.. Stripped the wire Again plugged it back in and she's back sounded real good.. Appreciate all the help guys I shoulda looked into it before u stated asking for help but I was in a rush Thanks again. Everyone
