I built a box for my 2013 Silverado, running 4 8" skar subs. Just about a week ago I started to get one sub only that over flexes?? It makes a loud noise when it does it also?? Why would it be doing this? I have a aero port on each side of the box both ports are the same length... It sounded real good for a couple weeks after the build???

also possible it is not working and is acting like a passive radiator.

Pull it out and check the spider. The coil might be bottoming out. Also make sure the cone is still attached to the coil. What amp are you running? Check the resistance on the coils to make sure one of them is not open or shorted.

I've seen this before on 3 subs with an L port and the end sub was bottoming out from the pressure of the other subs but never seen it on an aero port, it has to be bottoming out for some reason maybe it got broken in faster then the other subs and they are still tight, give it a little bit but if not better soon and ohms out ok it has to be a box problem sorry but it is what it is.

Ok here's where I'm at now... If I cover the port on the same size of the box as the sub making the noise, it doesn't do it anymore. I can crank it all the way up and it's just fine.. The second u let off that port tho it's absolutely terrible u can see the one sub flexing way farther then all the others

It's a box issue got to fix it or risk sub damage maybe go to one port , maybe just block off that one port if that makes a big difference . Hope u find out the issue u got the skar evil's they look awesome little tuff guys just love power .
