equinox amp installation with the current sensor over the negative wires

ok folks . about ti install in an 2008 chevy equinox and i have seen that it has the current clamp over the wires near the batteries.. is there anything special that i need to do or look for? running a 4 gauge to the back a whole 10-15 ft and prob going to use a massive audio d3200 amp for the single sub .. going to use the adapter for the radio so she can keep her steering wheel controls.. the other stuff is pretty straight forward. i just dont want to put it in and then her truck goes haywire.. she already thinks i cant do anything right!! lol

The current clamp is on the ground wires from the battery correct?

Sorry about the delay .. Ya know work and life sux.. Both equally sometimes.lol. But yes the ground wires look to be ran thru the "ring" in the engine compartment

You should be good. I squeezed 1/0 through my clamp a year ago and all is well.

That's good to hear. As a side note . If one breaks for whatever reason. Is there a larger type,or a fix or swap to function the same.. I'm not hamfisted. But like options BEFORE I do stuff. Just for info purposes really.
